The audacious stance of faith
21 jan 2016
No longer sitting on the outside,
No more of being far apart,
Let our worlds collide.
You as inside, part of, together.
No longer the fixer, the maker of rights –
Although you can, although you will,
You have and do and will again.
So regardless of circumstances,
Despite the hard, blunt edge of truth,
We only see in part,
We understand only in part.
In the pain, and in the joy,
In the mystery and not making sense,
In the rage and confusion and doubt,
The audacious stance of faith.
When circumstances dare us to drop our heads.
When two worlds collide,
And I shout to the skies,
Why?
This fragile echo, of a glory to come,
This tender hope in a raging tempest.
