You are my balance,
My bass note,
My underlying rhythm.
You are my breath,
My hope,
And my source of joy.
You shape the rational,
You inhabit the mystery.
You see above,
and beyond,
and within.
Even when the world is raging,
Or my mind is racing,
Or my heart is falling over itself in fear,
You are not fazed or offended,
Your gentle voice is constant.
Sitting just below the daily noise,
in you I find peace.
I find perspective.
I find direction.
You are my source of strength.
You are my ground,
and my anchor.
My heart swells in your presence.
Clears my mind of doubt.
Thank you for your grace and your peace.
Renew my mind today.
Give me wisdom and patience,
That my life would bring Kingdom,
In the day-to-day,
In the ordinary.
