Scratching the surface
Nov 2015

What I believe about the creation of the world, or the meaning of life, or the notion of hearing the whisper of God’s voice, or connecting in some way with the source of that whisper, is entirely woven into the fabric of my being. I don't believe it is something I have learned over time. I have head knowledge that affirms it, and I have been in many environments that nurture it. I have had experiences that challenge it, and most of the time my head is feeding me with all the reasoning and questioning that tries to dispel the notion of a God, urging me to believe that it is a construct necessitated by a weaker human mind.

My point is that the mind is only capable of scratching the surface of the human experience, and that we are ultimately hard wired in our spirits to want to connect with that creator voice on such a richer, deeper level.

I would far rather embrace it, swim in it, allow the currents are take me somewhere, then spend all my energy trying to avoid getting wet, or pretending that there is no water at all.
